Our nursery uses Boz’s Teach Me, Show Me, Grow Me curriculum published by David C. Cook. We believe preschoolers are at a delightful age of discovery! They’re absorbing everything they can about their world and how it works. We present lessons, stories and games in a way that helps them discover Bible truths to grow in their understanding of Jesus and their relationship to Him.
Our HEROES group uses 252 Basics curriculum to equip our children with basic truths. It uses Bible stories to teach core virtues and experience three basic truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52:
- I need to make wise choices
- I can trust God no matter what
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated
These weekly lessons and monthly virtues display both the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God’s character. And when we live them out, not only do we understand His heart more, so do the people around us!
‘Making Disciples who make Disciples’
Our Home Groups/Small Groups are based primarily upon Acts 2:42-47 from which we see true Christian community in that they were ‘devoted to the apostles’ teaching, the fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer…they were together and had all things in common, meeting each others’ needs…praising God together and the Lord was adding to their numbers daily those who were being saved.’
Our Home Groups/Small Groups meet regularly in homes where they have dinner together, spend time in prayer together, and dive into God’s Holy Word together by taking a look back and discussing what was preached the Sunday before and then looking at the text that will be preached the next Sunday.
New Hill’s Men’s Group meets the first Saturday of each month at Chick-Fil-A on Patteson Drive, Morgantown, WV. The purpose is to bring men of all ages together in order to grow and be molded more and more into the men God created us to be through eating together, praying together and reading and studying God’s Word together.
New Hill’s Women’s Group meets the second Saturday of each month at Chick-Fil-A on Patteson Drive, Morgantown, WV. The purpose, through eating together, praying together, studying God’s Word together and just simply sharing their lives with each other is to live out Titus 2 where ‘Older women are to teach what is good, and so train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.’
